Meet Pip
A companion, not a teacher.
Pip is a finch: small, curious, always building. Finches build a nest one twig at a time, and none of the twigs look like much on their own. That is the idea. Pip brings you one day at a time and keeps what you built.
One Pip, four ways of talking
Planner
Reads the timetable, the homework, the weak spots and the calendar, and produces a list you can finish. Fewer things, clearer. If you push back, it moves things without fuss.
Tutor
Socratic. Finds out what you already have, then gives the smallest hint that lets you take the next step. Three asks for the answer and it shows the working, and makes a note.
Marker
Marks like an examiner, point by point against the mark scheme, in an examiner's tone. Names the kind of error: concept, procedure, sign, arithmetic, reading, time, recall.
Mentor
More questions than statements. Which lesson made time fly this week? It notices patterns and doesn't label you. Big decisions, like which subjects to carry on with, can take several conversations.
What Pip remembers
Your school, timetable and courses. What you found hard and when. What you're into, what feels easy, when you work best. You can open the list any time and delete anything. Parents can't see it.
What Pip won't do
Write your homework. Chat about things that aren't school. Pretend to be sure when it isn't. Tell your parents what you said. If something's wrong that isn't about school, it points you to Childline and a trusted adult, then leaves it there.
